Toraja, the home of our coffee bean farms, is known for its incredible landscapes, deep rooted cultural traditions of the Indonesian people, and the treacherous journeys that they take in order to make everyday life possible.

Life in Toraja is anything but easy to a visitor, but for people who live here, the incredible feats needed to accomplish tasks are all in a day's work. At some points, the elevation can reach nearly 10,000 ft. above sea level, and with very narrow passageways, it’s improbable that anyone but a local could navigate the terrain with poise and confidence.

But that tenacity is what makes Toraja so special. Faced with incredible climbs, the threat of landslides, and the power of the Indonesian human spirit, we’ve created Toraja Mountain Coffee to not only taste good, but represent the resilience of a people that time has seemingly forgotten.
